Michele Cranston has been cooking and styling for 20 years in a career that has included working in various restaurants, setting up an acclaimed cafe,
cooking creatively for a food production company in London and writing about food.
Her initial forays into food happened quite by accident. Working her way through two degrees in visual arts she found her love of food was a perfect
way to supplement a meagre student’s income. However her part-time interest in food soon became a full-time passion, and she now combines both food
and art in the gorgeous images she creates and the delicious recipes she writes.
Michele was the food editor at marie claire magazine for 5 years and has just completed her 10th marie claire cookbook. As well as writing, she is a
freelance food stylist working in areas as diverse as magazines, television commercials and advertising.
Michele is currently food editor at large at the Australian Women’s Weekly.
